  • Very Durable
  • Comfortable and safe
  • Shoots Video and Audio
  • Light weight
  • Rapid fire action

  • Needs 8 AA Batteries
  • Motor sound recorded in audio

The Nerf N-Strike Elite Nerf Cam ECS-12 Blaster is the successor to the ECS-10 Blaster. The ECS-12 is comfortable for both big and small hands, it has a remarkable range of 85ft and is very accurate. The design is very light, very modern and very durable, making it one of the most stylish nerf guns ever.

The ECS-12 Blaster offers a 12 dart clip with rapid fire action which is very useful. One of the other features of this nerf gun is the camera, It has a built in camera which records both audio and video of all your battles. The videos are stored in the 4GB SD memory and can be transferred to your computer easily. The videos shot by the cam are very good and high quality but the audio is mostly the whirring of the motor, which is not that great.

The ECS-12 needs 8AA Batteries to function but other than that everything in this nerf gun is awesome and makes this one of the best nerf guns for 2016.

  • Fully automatic
  • No jams
  • Great range and accuracy
  • Tactical rail for accessories
  • Extra clip holder

  • Requires batteries
  • Loud motor

The Nerf Vortex Nitron is a fully automatic nerf beast that can hold upto 20 discs in one clip and has an extra clip holder for more ammo. The Nitron makes use of the exceptional accelerator technology to provide long range accurate shots. The build is very good and durable with a scope that lights up and adds to the coolness.

The Nitron is loved for its never jamming feature which is a common problem in other nerf guns. A tactical rail is provided for attachments to make the gun even more powerful. The motor can be loud at times, but that is hardly a problem in a nerf war, unless its a stealth one. The Nerf Vortex Nitron requires 6 C batteries and 2 AAA batteries to function, this does add to the weight of the gun, but its very well balanced and once you see the firing mechanism, you will forget about the batteries.

The Nitron is a beast, which can win you a lot of nerf wars and will definitely be among your favourites once you try it out.

  • Semi automatic
  • Significant Dart capacity
  • Chainsaw handle
  • 75ft range
  • Doesn’t jam

  • Loud noise
  • Requires batteries

The Nerf N-Strike Elite Hail-Fire Blaster has a dart capacity that will make you forget reloading, 8 dart clips with 18 darts each, making it 144 darts, that how powerful that Elite Hail Fire is. Along with a semi automatic firing feature, 3 sling adaptors, advanced chainsaw handle and rotating ammo rack, the Elite Hail Fire is sure to bring your victory in each nerf war.

The Hail Fire does cost quite a lot compared to other guns out there but it does deliver everything worth the price. The Elite Hail Fire equipped with 144 darts is sure to make life very hard for your enemies. The blaster powered with the batteries can easily shoot upto 75 ft and has very decent accuracy.

If you don’t like losing, then get the Elite Hail Fire Blaster. Period.

  • Very accurate shooting
  • No Batteries required
  • Easy to assemble
  • Perfect for long range shooting

  • A bit unbalanced
  • Reloading the drum takes time

The Nerf N-Strike Elite Rampage is without doubt one of the best nerf guns out there. The 75 ft+ range, 25 dart drum, slam fire action and long range precision shooting make this high power high function gun a must-have for any nerf fan.

The Elite Rampage is a non-battery operated nerf gun with a 25 dart drum magazine which will rain nerf darts on your enemy. The forward grip cocking along along with one of the best shooting mechanisms will help you fire shots around 3-4 per second. making it very difficult for your enemy.

The Drum barrel and magazine cause the gun to feel lopsided towards the left which makes it a problem for the right handed, as the drum faces towards the body instead of outwards. So if you’re a lefty, this nerf gun is made for you, but if you’re a righty, you should probably have a look at the other recommendations as well.

  • Both Automatic and Semi-automatic
  • Light and balanced
  • Multiple rails for accessories
  • High Magazine capacity
  • Fires all types of darts

  • Requires 4 C batteries
  • Whirring motor makes noise

The Nerf CS-18 N-Strike Elite is a fully automatic/semi-automatic nerf gun that is operated using 4 “C” Batteries. Making use of the rapid-fire technology, the CS-18 can easily fire 3 shots in a second, which takes only 6 seconds for it to completely fire its 18 dart magazine. The range for the CS-18 is well over 75 feet and the accuracy is pretty decent. The pistol grip and stock make it very comfortable and add on to the perfect built of the gun. The only flaw of the gun would be the whirring motor sound which makes loud noise and gives away your position, so make sure you don’t use it in nerf wars that require stealth.

The two best parts about the CS-18 are the multiple rails, which allow you to add accessories to it and make the gun even more powerful and the dart capability, which allows it to fire all types of darts (standard, zombie, suction cup etc.).

If you are looking for a nerf gun that is customisable, fast, accurate and comfortable, then the Nerf CS-18 N-Strike Elite is just what you need.

  • Modern Design
  • Accurate
  • Excellent Range
  • Multiple rails for accessories
  • Removable barrel extension

  • Battery Powered
  • Wide stock grip

The Modulus ECS-10 Blaster is one of the latest rifles in the N-Strike models and has been loved by the customer for its new features. The Modulus ECS-10 comes has a modern design with a banana clip and plenty of space for additional accessories. The ECS-10 Blaster can hold upto 10 darts and has over 30 combinations for semi-automatic shooting.

The targeting scope of the rifle is not so helpful while shooting but you can still make it easily over 75+ feet with pretty good accuracy. One of the other problems noticed by the customers was the wide grip which caused a problem while shooting. Other than that, the cool look, semi automatic shooting and add-on tactical rails make the ECS-10 Blaster one of the favourites of the new Nerf N-strike series.

  • Ranger better than darts
  • Easy reload clips
  • Accurate
  • Sturdy build
  • Pump action

  • Discs are slower than darts
  • No slam fire

The Nerf Vortex PRAXIS Blaster is a very sturdy and powerful nerf gun that shoots discs, not darts. These discs have better range than darts and are easier to reload but a bit slower than darts while shooting. The Praxis Blaster utilises pump action to fire the 10 disc clip and is very accurate.

The disc clip is very easy to reload and customisable according to mobility during a fight. The Vortex praxis Blaster has rails for further accessories and  makes use of the XLR long range disc technology to launch discs to ultra long distances which increases your accurate shooting range.

  • Very accurate upto 58 feet
  • Assault grip
  • Removable stock, barrel and handle
  • No Batteries required
  • Supports attachments

  • Small stock
  • Not so accurate without barrel

The Nerf N-Strike Elite Retaliator Blaster is the new version of the recon with improvements and enhancements done in the shooting, although the body is pretty much the same as before. The Retaliator Blaster has an assault grip which helps while shooting. The stock is very stable but quite short for anyone above 10 years. Another improvement from the recon would be the magazine, the recon had a 6 round magazine and the Retaliator Blaster has a 12 round magazine which is perfect. Having tested the shooting with and without the barrel, we can conclude that the Retaliator Blaster is not so accurate without the barrel.

The stock, barrel and handle are all removable and can be customised according to use/preference. The barrel extensions provide options of the top and bottom tactical rails which support further attachments.

  • Easy to assemble
  • Great design and accuracy
  • Easy to load
  • Doesn’t jam
  • No batteries

  • Significant size and weight
  • No scope

The Nerf N-Strike Mega Centurion is a very powerful and highly accurate nerf gun that covers over 85 feet while shooting. The Mega Centurion has special darts that are 4x bigger than that regular darts and the clip can contain only 6 darts at a time. The magazines are easier to load and the gun never seems to jam. The Nerf N-Strike Mega Centurion doesn’t require batteries for operation and this is what makes it very special.

The nerf gun has no scope with it which is not a great advantage considering that it is a long range blaster. The size and weight of the Mega Centurion are also to be considered while buying because it is not so portable for small kids. The centurion gives you a lot of advantage outside in the field and not much inside the house. The gun has a bipod stand that makes aiming and shooting very easy.

If you love snipers and have a big field area to play, then the mega centurion is exactly what you need to get your enemies scared.

  • Great Range
  • Easy to Reload
  • Very Accurate
  • No jams
  • Slam fire

  • Small grip size
  • Not compatible with accessories

The Nerf N-Strike Elite Strongarm Blaster is the elite range successor of the Maverick/Spectre which was a popularly loved nerf gun. The Strongarm Blaster can hold upto 6 darts at a time and has improved built quality. The Strongarm Blaster offers better sling points, better design and a great range compared to the maverick.

The best part about is the gun is that is hardly jams and is very easy to reload which makes it very difficult for your opponent. One of things that customers dislike about the Strongarm is the small grip size, which is not very comfortable for people with big hands. Despite being the latest model, this nerf gun is not compatible with accessories.

Undoubtedly, the Strongarm is one of the best selling nerf guns on market and is loved by all of its customers.

  • Shoots both missile and darts
  • Rapid fire action
  • Great Range and Accuracy
  • Not Heavy

  • Needs Batteries
  • Darts jam occasionally

The Nerf N-Strike Elite Demolisher 2-in-1 Blaster is a unique nerf gun with missile and dart combo. It is a one heavy duty nerf gun with good quality and design. The Demolisher is not heavy compared to many nerf guns out there. It does require batteries to function but the range and accuracy make up for that by taking it all the way upto 90 ft. The 10 dart banana clip, stock and rapid fire action are among the other features of the demolisher.

Some users have reported that if the gun is not used for long period of time, the darts (source) tend to jam while shooting. But even that can be dealt with using some powder and other methods mentioned here.

The Demolisher may have a few cons but the pros easily outweigh them and give you the extra advantage in a nerf war.

The Nerf Zombie Strike Hammershot Blaster is a high quality nerf gun with dual wield mode. It can be easily operated using only one hand and has rapid fire action which fires with great power. The Hammershot Blaster has a great range and is very accurate. One of the most loved feature is the reloading, as it loads easy and fast.

A few changes can easily be spotted from the earlier version, namely the sturdy grip and the cock mechanism which has improved dramatically. The only flaws would be that gun has no rails for accessories and can hold only upto 5 darts. Other than that, the Hammershot Blaster is a very powerful and reliable secondary weapon.

  • Bow Action
  • Good Range
  • Colourful Design and Patterns
  • Multiple rails for accessories
  • Removable Dart Holder

  • Not so Accurate

It’s only fair that a girly bow with a modern design gets in on the top 15 list of best nerf guns. The Nerf Rebelle Heartbreaker Bow is one for all the girls out there who say “Why should boys have all the fun?”. The Rebelle Heartbreaker bring the bow action into use and is widely loved by customers for both its design and purpose.

The bow easily makes over 45 feet while shooting and has multiple rails which come in very handy when using accessories. Also, the dart holder can hold upto 5 darts at a time and is also removable incase you prefer it that way. Although the bow action looks very easy to master, you will have to take your time with it to improve on the accuracy.

  • Nice range
  • Effective at close range
  • 3 shots at once
  • Accurate

  • Not for long range
  • Small round clip

The Nerf Zombie Strike Sledge Fire Blaster can fire 3 shots at once, making the ducking and escaping process very difficult for your enemy. The Sledge fire blaster has ammo storage space on the back and can hold upto 9 darts. The nerf gun has a decent enough range for a close shot, but not good enough for long range shooting,

The easy loading mechanism and offloading is quite fun and easy to do. The Sledge Fire Blaster can surely create a lot of problems for your enemy if they are nearby, but wouldn’t be of much help if there is a lot of distance in between. Its a fun nerf gun to try and is loved by majority of its customers for the 3 dart blasting action.
